Well I'll be darned, for the first time in years, the Golden Globes actually got it right!
WOW!
I love my "Atonement" so it's quite nice that the film is getting love from the Globes!
If you notice, there are seven best picture nominees! That's a testament that this year, there are many great films, and not one leading the pack, which makes for an exciting awards season!
One upset though -- neither Tommy Lee Jones nor Josh Brolin was nominated from "No Country for Old Men."
But don't put too much stock on the Globes. Keep in mind, this was the award-giving body who gave Pia Zadora a Best Actress award!!!
The Golden Globes is going to be telecast live on NBC, Sunday, January 13th, at 8pm!!!

The power of words and how we use them to inspire and inflict pain are explored in the new film Atonement. Based on the beloved novel by Ian McEwan, the storyteller is a writer whose wild imagination causes tragedy to her loved ones, and the film shows us how she uses words to atone for the sins of her childhood.

After what seemed like years, I now have a myspace page. I have lots of folks asking me if I have one, so I created my own space on myspace.
It's still a work-in-progress, of course, but here it is.

Out of the goodness of my heart, I compiled ALL the current winners and nominees of all the major award-giving bodies right here in the U.S. from the LA Film Critics to the Critics' Choice Awards. It will be updated with future awards announcements.
We're now in the midst of our trek to the long road to the Oscars, so hopefully, this compilation will help you predict who will win the golden guy.
Here's the link, or you can also click on AWARDS AVENUE on the left side of the page!
