Summit Entertainment has finally made up its mind and released the release date. "The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn" will be directed by Bill Condon. (Check out his plea to Twihards right here)
Kristen Stewart, Robert Pattinson, and Taylor Lautner are set to return and here's the caveat, Melissa Rosenberg is set to adapt the final chapter of the Stephenie Meyer book, and honestly, and I've been talking about this forever, Summit must find another screenwriter, pronto! I was not impressed with the way she adapted the first two books, "Twilight" and "New Moon."
Now, "Twilight: Breaking Dawn" must fight with "Happy Feet 2" and DreamWorks' "Real Steel" for box-office domination. All three films are sharing the same release date.
And I have one more question, I thought Summit will be releasing the final chapter in two parts ala "Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows?"

Hugo Weaving is set to play the "Captain America" Big Bad, Johann Schmidt aka the Red Skull. Best known as the baddie Agent Smith in the "Matrix" films (I particularly like Weaving in "The Adventures of Priscilla, Queen of the Desert" he-he-he), Weaving's addition to "Captain America" is good news. He has a knack for stealing scenes everytime!
Joe Johnston ("The Wolfman") is set to direct and Chris Evans will wield the shield as Steve Rogers aka Captain America. Sebastian Stan is going to play Captain America's sidekick Bucky Barnes while Hayley Atwell will star as Peggy Carter, our hero's girlfriend.
Production will begin this summer in London with the release date set for July 22, 2011.

20th Century Fox has confirmed that "Kick-Ass" director Matthew Vaughn will be helming "X-Men: First Class." The studio has also announced that the comic book adaptation will be released on June 3, 2011. Bryan Singer, the guy who gave us the first two "X-Men" films, conceptualized "First Class" but must leave production to direct "Jack the Giant Killer." He's still attached to co-produce with Lauren Shuler Donner and Simon Kinberg.
Ashley Miller and Zack Stents, the scriptwriters of Marvel Studios' "Thor," are doing rewrites on the script, and production is set to start this summer. No official word on the cast yet, or whether Patrick Stewart will return as Professor Charles Xavier or Hugh Jackman will reprise his role as Wolverine. But, our friends at ComingSoon.net has posted the logline:
"X-Men: First Class, following the classic Marvel mythology, charts the epic beginning of the X-Men saga. Before Charles Xavier and Erik Lensherr took the names Professor X and Magneto, they were two young men discovering their powers for the first time. Before they were archenemies, they were closest of friends, working together, with other Mutants (some familiar, some new), to stop the greatest threat the world has ever known. In the process, a rift between them opened, which began the eternal war between Magneto’s Brotherhood and Professor X’s X-Men."

So apparently, a film called "Super 8" will be attached to the "Iron Man 2" screenings starting Friday. JJ Abrams' name is attached to "Super 8," but he did not direct the film according to HitFlix. Instead, this is a sequel or a prequel to "Cloverfield" and it tells the story of a group of teenagers from the 70s or 80s who are shooting a movie using a Super 8 camera (Did you have one of those, I did, and they're fantastic! And since it's a Super 8 camera, I'll assume that it's a bunch of 70s kids, the 80s kids will have their bulky camcorder). So when the kids get their film developed, they noticed an image of an alien in the film, tan dan dan...
Oooooh....sounds fantastic and intriguing, I'll watch "Iron Man 2" again this weekend just for the "Super 8" trailer!

"Live Free or Die Hard" made $378 million worldwide, so it's no surprise that Fox wants another "Die Hard" film and they want it now, The Hollywood Reporter exclusively learned.
Screenwriter Skip Woods ("X-Men Origins: Wolverine," the upcoming "The A-Team") is in negotiations to write the new "Die Hard" script. Yes, Bruce Willis aka John McClane is returning to utter the words, "Yipee Ka-Yay Motherf......" one more time.
