When we think of "Tower Heist," we never associate the film as one of the best of 2011 right? Granted, I enjoyed Eddie Murphy in the film, but that's about it. The comedian is nominated as one of the Outstanding Actors of the Year, but so was Vin Diesel for "Fast Five." Yup, great acting there!
But of course the NAACP also gave love to the deserving "The Help," "The First Grader," and "Pariah." But mix those three with "Tower Heist" and another Best Picture nominee, "Jumping the Broom," and this award category just doesn't make any sense!
Let's see if they will at least pick the deserving winners at the 43rd NAACP Image Awards live telecast on NBC on Friday, February 17.
So without further adieu, here is the complete list of nominees (to see winners/nominees of other award giving bodies, visit our Awards Avenue coverage right here)
